Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has used the new shades of metro colors. They are called bliss and ray. They are suppose to be beige tone blondes. I am curious about results people have had. Metro colors are really kind of funky so I don't know just how these beige colors are goingto be. They look really yellow in tone and like they might be bright. I now there is no background color in the metro colors, they are kind of like pure tone. I'm thinking that the beige ones could go too yellowy if you're not careful. I would appreciate if any could share their experience.
thank you

Phillip

I am interested in knowing more about the Metro colors in general. I am confused about the mixing. This sounds like a dumb thing but isn't it a direct dye color? and then am I right in assuming that it can be mixed with Peroxide?? I am in Australia and we dont have Metro here but I had a look at the swatch chart on the Redken site and I noticed the Poppers, which are in the same tone as the new Hi-Fusion (like Redlights and Maji Contrast) colors that they introduced here about 3 months ago. I wish that color availabilty was universal.

yes, the metro colors are a direct dye color. You mix with regular developer. The pops I think are semi. The colors are intense and funky. no background. If it is gold, it is pure gold, and so on.The new beige shades look good, and I wonder what kind of results people have had.

I use alot of metro. I have yet to use the new ray and bliss. I use glam and diva alot in weaves with bleach also. I get great caremel and rusty colors by mixing the golds with the orange red tones.
I also like to mix the pops( they are permenate also) with the other colors to get a more vibrant look. Do not be scared because of the swatches, you can mix the shade anyway you want and with different strengths of developer and different levels of hair you can get great colors.
Some on here have had alot of fadage, but I personally have not had any problems. The color processes in 20 minutes wonderfull.
Redken is a great company and if you can get into any of it do so. I am sorry you do not have them Phillip, from reading your posts , I think you would like them. Oh and by the way, you can always mix the nuetrals in with any of the colors to tone them down a bit. I think I use metro more than I use fusion at this point. I am considering applying for a job with redken, so I may be a bit biased , but I love the stuff.

I love to use shades, I always mix every color I do with at least 2 or 3 different shades. And when using shades for darker hair I go up a level or to. My only complaint is I wish they had a higher level than 9. I know I can dilute with clear, but I do not feel that is as effective.
