best round brush?

my porcupine brush finally died on me, and i really need a new one. in a pinch (it was sunday and no professional salon was open) i bought an ion brush from sally's to tie me over. it didn't make it thorough one blowdry before the bristles were burnt. what is a good brush for both volume and smoothness that will stand up to heat?

I love the Aveda brushes. They last a long time and are easy to clean in brush cleaner. I like their paddle brushes, too. I have a drawer full of brushes and these are the ones I go to time after time. I recently saw an oval (or square ?) can't remember now) brush on Sam villa's haircut DVD. It sounds interesting in how he said it performs better than the round. I don't know where to get one, though, other than his site.

My favorite is the Technique brushes! They come in tons of different sizes and work wonders! I keep them in my salon for sale & can't keep them in stock! My favorite is the 380 & 400 b/c they work great for straightening out long hair FAST!
